Join us at the YMCA for a fun, hands on Earth Day Open House that the whole family can enjoy. This drop in style event lets you explore at your own pace, stay for a few minutes or the whole time as you celebrate creativity, learning, and our planet.
Kids will love diving into interactive activity stations, including making clay and seashell paint palettes, building battery powered windmill robot cars, and creating colorful scribble stones to take home. Each activity is designed to spark imagination while connecting to Earth Day themes of sustainability and innovation.
We are also excited to welcome our special guest, Emma Krapfl from the American Lung Association of Iowa. She will lead an engaging and eye opening demonstration using real pig lungs to show the effects of vaping, an educational experience for older kids and adults alike.
Come ready to create, learn, and have fun in a relaxed, welcoming environment. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day with your community.
