Earth Day Clean-up

Help us clean up the Chemung River at our annual Earth Day Cleanup. This year our home base will be at our new office downtown! If you haven’t stopped by yet this event is the perfect time to see what we’ve done with the place. We are aiming to widen our coverage this year, so we will have multiple teams, each led by one of our board members or River Friends Volunteer, that will cover specific areas around the watershed including next to the river (of course!), Elmira southside, downtown Elmira, the north and east sides of the city, and a few of our boat launches. We’ll meet at our office at 11am to distribute cleanup supplies and give a short safety talk. Then after the cleanup we’ll have a potluck lunch back at our office for volunteers starting at 2pm.

Our clean-ups are funded through various grants and sponsorships. Individual donations are not required but are greatly appreciated!
