This event will take place at the Bay City Recycles Drop-Off Center, 2900 N. Water Street, on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bay City Electric Light and Power is teaming up with Bay City Recycles to allow City of Bay City utility customer to properly recycle select household items.Accepted items include:
• Alkaline Batteries (9V must be taped) (ONLY alkaline batteries will be accepted)
• Cardboard
• Cell Phones
• CFL Bulbs
• E-Waste (no CRTs)
• Eyeglasses
• Flat Screen TVs
• Fluorescent Lighting
• Hearing Aids
• Ink Jet Cartridges
• Plastic Bags
• Polystyrene Foam (cups, egg cartons, takeout containers, packing material etc. NO PACKING PEANUTS)
• Scrap Metal
Tire Disposal
Passenger car/truck tires only, NO commercial vehicle tires.
Limit 10 per resident.
Must be off rims and clean.
Must present driver's license.

Paper Shredding
Limit 4 boxes per customer.
Can be shredded: items such as paper, file folders, catalogs, and magazines.
Unaccepted shred items of wood, glass, 3-ring binders, and wet documents will NOT be taken.

Plus, we are offering rebates when you recycle refrigerators and freezers (between 10-30 cubic feet), room air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Bay City Electric Light and Power customers can recycle two large units and two small units per year. Units must be operable to qualify for rebates.
