Brent Funkhouser’s (@brentfunkhouser) style of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. His songwriting displays influence from classics like Tom Petty, americana contemporaries like Jason Isbell, and Texas/red dirt songsters like Turnpike Troubadours, filtered through his mountain poet voice. The singer-songwriter has performed to hundreds of attentive audiences in nine states, opening for award-winning artists such as Judy Collins and Phil Vassar along the way.
Dan Maguire is a songwriter originally from Tulsa, OK, now living in Rockford IL–imagine the music that Lyle Lovett would make if Jack Johnson and Eric Clapton stopped by his barbecue. My album “Travelin’ Light” had Bored City calling it “a beautiful journey that touches the soul” and WNIU said “He knew how to work a crowd and everyone was into his eclectic sound and original tunes.”
