Session 1: Supporting Children with SEND Using Sensory Strategies
Info: This interactive self-experiential workshop aims to equip managers and practitioners with ideas and resources for how to use sensory strategies to support children with SEND in early years settings. Quiet zones and physical activity such as pushing, pulling, or swinging can support emotional regulation and attention of all children. We will discuss how managers and practitioners can share these evidence-based practices with colleagues across the setting, so that everyone can feel empowered in inclusive practice.

Break and Networking

Parallel Session 2
Info: For Practitioners: Including Two-Year-Olds in Play
This session provides practitioners with ideas for engaging two-year-old children in activities and play, providing much-needed structure while understanding the developmental needs and preferences of young children in play. Increased physical activity and movement combined with still limited collaborative play and children's understanding of language can make the two-year-old room difficult to manage. This session aims to provide a space for sharing good practice, underpinned by research and experience.
For Managers: Enhancing Your Setting Through Networking
Join us in the Foyer Marketplace and talk to us about opportunities how to enhance practice in your setting through CPD, practice setting visits, projects, university courses and apprenticeships. This session provides a space for setting managers to talk to each other, share and feel supported.
