Steve Atlas is a versatile guitarist from Merritt, BC, who seamlessly blends his jazz education with deep roots in blues, rock, and country. Drawing inspiration from artists such as John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Keith Whitley, and Vince Gill, his playing demonstrates sophisticated harmonic understanding while maintaining the authenticity of his small-town roots.Since moving to Vancouver in 2021, Steve has established himself as an up-and-coming sideman and compelling performer. He currently performs with Mya Lowe, Ayla Bryn, Sara Carbone, and The Benson Project, and has collaborated with numerous artists and bands including Benjamin Parker, Josh Wyper, Lander Austero, Famous Players, and TripleFiveSoul. He also served as guitarist for Capilano University’s premier vocal ensemble, Nitecap.
Steve continues to build a reputation as a musician who brings both technical proficiency and heart to every performance. He has appeared on stages across the Vancouver area including Rogers Arena, The Biltmore Cabaret, The Fox Cabaret, Guilt & Company, BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts, and Kay Meek Arts Centre, as well as festivals throughout British Columbia and Alberta.
