“Amy Come on Home,” is the first full length release from Milwaukee country rock band, Ladybird. The record starts with the driving distance in miles between two places, and deals with the changes of names and faces that come from living in or visiting both periodically. If there were ever a theme to the record, it’s just that. People: faces, old friends, tall queens, honky tonk mama’s, loved ones and lost ones, are the thread that connect these nine songs.
The record was recorded over the course of three weekends in November 2023, at Wire & Vice in Wauwatosa. It was engineered and mixed by Ian Olvera, and mastered by Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering.
