Music carries with it a lot of power - for example, the power to synchronize people to their environments and each other. The way music hits our limbic system is so unique and should be understood. On the one hand, a beloved melody can help us regulate our emotions and access a good mood any time, any where... In the same vein, a stray, haunting song can stir up buried memories and reduce us to tears in the supermarket.

This class is more than just putting on a song you like and having a good time. Here, we'll learn the art of surrendering to the flow of a song and savoring it in our bodies - taking it apart bit by bit. By the end of the song, your body will be saturated with sensation as the beat washes over you.

This is a great class for singles or couples - no matter your experience level with music or k!nk or intimacy. Whether you deepen your enjoyment of music for yourself or in connection to someone else... you are sure to leave with a new perspective on accessing pleasure through sound.

• Discussion and Practical Exercises: The workshop involves communication-based exercises and/or negotiated opt-in non-sexual touch.

• Come Alone or With Someone! Come solo or bring a partner, a friend, a group of coworkers, your frenemies, or your entire polycule! During the exercises, you'll have the opportunity to interact with other students & switch partners, which allows for practicing with familiar partners and new acquaintances. We do not pair people up and encourage guests to make friends and engage to their level of comfort. Couples can stay paired the whole time or choose to practice with others.

A Jam session is a practice participation-based gathering where we focus on practicing what you learned in the workshop or know within the context of the curriculum. The Jam is tailored to the interests of the students and may involve live demonstration scenes, guided practice time, and other applications of class material. Opt to engage to your comfort level or simply observe and learn. This is not a hookup-style event and the focus is on practice (Non Sex-Based).
