A monthly improv duet series at the Atlanta Contemporary. The eleventh installment, at 4 p.m. on January 4th pairs Klimchak with audio engineer, trumpeter, and scholar Alexandria Smith. As an improviser/multi-media artist, Smith has had a residency at the Stone NYC and feature recitals on the Future of New Trumpet (FONT) Festival West, and the VI Semana Internacional de Improvisación in Ensenada, Baja California. She has been a performer at the FONT Festival NYC, Improv Night at the Stone, and the Either/OR Spring Festival. Alexandria is currently an Assistant Professor of Music at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she leads the IMPACT lab.
