Eagle Marsh is an 831-acre wetland nature preserve, owned by the Little River project, located on the southwest side of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Miles of trails allow access to ponds and wetlands. Late March should be a great time for water- and marsh-birds. A spotting scope will be available. The trails are rough but flat, and inclined to be soggy. All are welcome to join.
Note: Though we’ve usually entered the preserve via Olde Canal Place, this time we’ll go in from the Engle Road entrance, which is about ½ mile east of W. Jefferson Blvd. The parking area is on the south side of the road near a traffic light.
