About this Event
"...we are each other’s
harvest:
we are each other’s
business:
we are each other’s
magnitude and bond."
Paul Robeson, Gwendolyn Brooks (1970)
The title of Magnitude and Bond: A Field Study on Black Literary Arts Organizations derives from a line in Gwendolyn Brooks’ poem, Paul Robeson, which speaks to the importance of community building as a sustainability practice.
Join us for a mix and mingle ahead of the event, “each other’s harvest: an afternoon of poetry, community, and address” at the National Museum of African American History and Culture as we celebrate our community and the launch of Magnitude and Bond.
This event is free and open to the public.
