EAA SportAir Composite Construction Workshop: Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Discover the fundamentals of lightweight composite aircraft construction in an intensive two-day EAA SportAir Composite Construction Workshop in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on January 16-17, 2027. In this hands-on course, you’ll learn about the materials, tools, and techniques used to create strong, lightweight composite structures, and then put those techniques to work through a series of practical projects.
Skill-building activities include creating a composite sandwich panel, hot-wire cutting and constructing a canard airfoil, practicing laminate bonding techniques, and producing a simple molded part. You’ll also gain experience with wet lay-up and vacuum bagging techniques, along with methods for making modifications and repairs.
