EAA Chapter 54 Private/Sport Pilot Ground School

Registration is now open for EAA Chapter 54 Ground School, which begins in January 2027.
This class will focus on the knowledge needed to pass the FAA written exam for a Private Pilot License (PPL), and also identify those areas not needed to pass the Sport Pilot knowledge test. The primary textbook will be the FAA Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge and the ASA (Aviation Supplies and Academics) Private Pilot Test Prep. It is also recommended that students have access to the FAA FAR/AIM and the FAA Flying Handbook, both available online at no cost. See links below. We will augment instruction with Sport's Learn to Fly videos (Young Eagles flyers: you have free access to the videos. See the packet of information you received after your Young Eagle flight)
