E/M in Action: Interactive Case-Based Coding Workshop
Schedule

UTC-04:00Location
MMM Kennedy | SAN JUAN, PR

About this Event
Join us for a hands-on, case-based workshop designed to sharpen your Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding skills using current AMA guidelines. Working through real-world scenarios, you’ll identify documentation gaps, apply decision-making criteria, and practice accurate code selection with confidence. We’ll spotlight common pitfalls, practical fixes, and compliance-first strategies you can use on Monday morning.
Why this matters
E/M remains one of the most audited and operationally impactful areas in outpatient coding. This interactive format translates rules into repeatable decision pathways - so your team codes accurately, defends selections, and reduces denials.
What you’ll learn
- Apply AMA E/M guidelines to real cases (leveling, MDM, data/review)
- Spot and correct documentation gaps that drive downcoding/denials
- Build a defensible rationale for code selection (and avoid over-documentation)
- Recognize high-frequency errors and implement quick process fixes
- Convert workshop takeaways into checklists/job aids for daily use
Who should attend
Coders, billers, auditors, practice managers, compliance leads, and providers who touch E/M documentation and revenue integrity.
