E. Ellison - is the solo project of Lizzy Ellison (Radiation City, Cardioid). Her most recent debut, PILLARS, time capsules her experience re-emerging as a musician post pandemic, while simultaneously navigating a new relationship in a different hemisphere. While she traveled back and forth, she chronicled her time using film photography, field recordings, and writing/recording what would become PILLARS. The album is dark and slow, with harmonies driven by dry lead vocals, sad pianos, and acoustic guitars in ricocheted balance. Her performance at Mother Foucault's will be acoustic and accompanied by a small choir.
Luke Wyland is a Portland, OR–based composer, interdisciplinary artist, and cultural organizer. For over 20 years, he has released critically acclaimed albums with the groups AU and Methods Body, and as a solo artist on labels such as New Amsterdam, Balmat, The Leaf Label, and Beacon Sound. His latest album, (2024, Balmat), was named as one of the "Best Experimental Records of 2024" by PopMatters. As a person who stutters, his work centers disability justice and speech diversity. In collaboration with SPACE, he curates the Library of Dysfluent Voices, a living archive that reimagines stuttering as an expressive, generative form. Through live performances, immersive installations, and community exchange, he explores the textures of voice and the politics of fluency, inviting new ways of listening. lukewyland.com
