This is the annual Dōjō practice reaffirming everyone’s conviction and focus to continue on the road of Budô and deepening self discovery.Our waterfall practice is a means to strengthen our resolve and spirit to withstand the trials of the new year and refresh our hearts and minds with conviction.
We will firstly meet at the Dōjō to perform a purification prayer and short meditation.
We will then carpool to a designated car park. From there we walk approximately an hour to the waterfall. We will stop and practice some meditation on the way.
You will need:
White light weight Keiko-gi. Pants and top. No belt.
( some are available at the Dōjō so ask Duncan ).
Women will need bathers to wear under their white uniform.
Complete change of clothes.
Large Towel.
Plastic bag / waterproof bag for wet clothes.
Hat.
Water
Snacks if desired.
Good Walking shoes.
Gaitors ( if desired ).
There are no change rooms at the waterfall so please understand this. You will change twice at the waterfall.
People enter the waterfall at their own risk and must take full responsibility for their participation.
