Long Beach artist Hely Omar Gonzalez will lead an artist workshop inspired by Día de los Muertos and Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano, on view at Rancho Los Cerritos. This special, all-ages workshop will allow participants to paint their own artwork inspired by the iconography of Día de los Muertos, including marigolds, calaveras, butterflies and more.
The workshop will be a space for creativity and reflection as we consider the roots and significance of Day of the Dead traditions and symbols across Mexican communities. Participants are welcome to contribute their creations to the community ofrenda in front of the Visitor Center.
Tickets are $15 with special discounts available for RLC Volunteers and Members. https://square.link/u/ZWJ5CdQb
