Día de las Almas (Día de los Muertos)
We invite you to join us for a Ceremony of remembrance as we honor our Ancestors and loved ones who have passed away.
Our gathering will feature an Altar by Túumben K’iin, a Mayan Community group from the Yucatán Peninsula. Bring a photograph or an offering for your loved ones to place on the Altar. Come sit with their memory, share their stories, and celebrate the love that continues to connect us.
Come learn about our Mayan Culture and the meaning of Día de las Almas, and be part of our Ceremony. Pray with us and break bread in Community. We will also have live Mayan music and a performance by our Purépecha relative Chema Mota.
Hosted by:
• Chiapas Education Project
• All My Relations Coalition
• 350Tacoma
• Proyecto Raíces / Roots Project
• Toolbox Laboratories
Supported by ArtsWA.
