The Saturday September 21 Dragging Youth All Ages Drag Show DYS 4 E2S: AS THE BANNOCK BAKES will begin at 6pm as always. BUT this month there is the added bonus of a free Community Pride Day 2024. This is ELEN's 6th Annual Family Pride party and another partnership with the great folks at DYS.
Wheelchair accessible for performers and audience!
-2pm: Community Pride Day begins
-5pm: final hour of Community Pride Day and pre-show mixer hour
-6pm: DYS 4 E2S - As the Bannock Bakes All Ages Drag Show to benefit Edmonton 2Spirit Society. Ladonna Cree &

Dragging Youth Shows (DYS) and Edmonton Lesbian* Event Network are pleased to announce Community Pride Day 2024.
This is ELEN's 6th Annual Family Pride party and another partnership with the great folks at DYS.
Our free, all ages celebration will take place both indoors and outdoors.
We will be welcoming diverse vendors, local organizations and community leaders in a space safe for the whole family. We'll have lots of arts & crafts, interactive zones, activities and outdoor games, photo ops, a barbeque, music, silent auction and much more.
After this day of fun, stick around for another terrific monthly show from Dragging Youth - DYS 4 E2S: AS THE BANNOCK BAKES. This revue of talented amateur and experienced performers is for Orange Shirt Day and benefits Edmonton 2Spirit Society.
A ticket is required for the drag show, starting at 6pm.

Our goal is to blend Indigenous-focused resources and creative works while also highlighting and uplifting smaller orgs and businesses from our local queer community, especially the ones who are marginalized and sidelined even within our own spaces. We intend to showcase 2Spirit, Trans and Non-Binary voices and QTIBPOC artists and community groups.
We will have a barbeque and snacks available for purchase. Alcohol will be available indoors with ID. We will be trying to address dietary restriction and special requirements so please let us know in advance if this is a concern. [email protected]
The Unitarian Church of Edmonton is fully accessible and has gender neutral washrooms. We will have a quiet room available and a designated sensory and stimulus zone. There will be free parking on-site and in adjacent areas. While designated as a 'church', it is important to note this is a progressive and inclusive space dedicated to learning, spiritual exploration and social justice. The UCE proudly supports queer and Trans causes. Many Pride flags, educational items like pronoun stories and unique pieces of queer art adorn the walls, signs clearly mark it as an 2SLGBTQQIA+ safe space in many areas both indoors and at the gate.
The Unitarian Church of Edmonton is a sponsor of Dragging Youth Shows. Dragging Youth has monthly Shows at the Unitarian Church of Edmonton (UCE). UCE has no stairs going into the building or to public areas. There is a button operated door at the front. A lovely ramp for performers to get on stage. Plus accessible, gender neutral washrooms. Chairs in the Sanctuary are easily moved to accommodate various needs. UCE also has a quiet room where shows can be viewed with decreased stimulus. Plus there is a free app which sound can be played through your device for those hard of hearing.
Dragging Youth (DYS) is a 100% volunteer organization. Family Friendly monthly all ages drag shows, plus more supports throughout the year. A place for young and old together to perform, relax, enjoy, find mentorship and friends in a 2SLGBTQQIA+ safe environment while raising funds for great causes.
