For those who have attended at least one introductory level course at DYOS or another studio/event.
Learn beginner+ and intermediate patterns with a focus on repetition and developing comfort with each pattern.

L3: Skills & Drills
🏠🔦 “Spotlight Ballroom”
This class will introduce you to movement, connection, and rhythm theories, skills, and methods. It will be a time to focus on skills via drills. This class will have less music and actual dancing than the average dance class, but will develop awareness and intention in your approach to WCS!
Pre-Requisite of L2 Patterns:
--> Tuck Turn (sugar and/or passing)
--> Spinning Side Pass (inside roll and/or free spin)
--> Starter Step
--> 8-Count Whip
8:40-9:10 pm
L4: Artistic Application
🏠🔦 “Spotlight Ballroom”
Learn the skills for improvised, partnered musical expression with 2-3 applications of L3 Class material. Focus will be responding to the music and your partner!
This class will help you cultivate those magical "How can this dance be improvised??" moments.
Pre-Requisite:
--> L3 Pattern Pre-Reqs
--> General comfort navigating social dances

Level One: WCS Foundations
🏠☁️ “Sky Ballroom” (second floor)
For those who are brand new to West Coast Swing or developing a basic pattern vocabulary. No partner or experience required!

🏠👑 “Royal Ballroom”
Feat. the Power Half Hour (half songs for half an hour), community building activities, jams, and more!

One-Time Entry (Sliding Scale): $10-40
At-the-door payment, processed by Starlite Ballroom.
Covers entry to one DYOS Thursday event (all classes and social dancing included). Simply walk up to the front desk and name your price within the range.
January DYOS Sponsor (Unlimited Monthly Pass): $80-160

Upon payment, your name will be added to a guest list for the month of your choosing.
No recurring or automatic charges. DYOS Sponsor access will end on the last day of the month of the sponsor’s choosing and will only reactivate with another DYOS Sponsor contribution.

DYOS’s health policy is aimed at mitigating the spread of Covid-19
and reducing the severity of breakthrough infections.
--> X94+ Masks (KN95, N95, or KF94 with no exhaust port) are REQUIRED FOR CLASSES
--> X94+ Masks MAY be required for social dancing, depending on prevalence of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County.
Masking Policy is announced every Tuesday (approx. 48 hours before each event).
KN95 masks are available for sale at check-in - $1/cash or $2/VenMo
