This workshop is geared towards expanding your creative side by working with combined painting, collage, and bas-relief techniques! This workshop is geared towards expanding your creative side by working with combined acrylic mixed-media painting, printmaking, and bas-relief collage techniques! Create an inspiring artwork that combines painting, collage, and bas-relief techniques to explore and expand your inner creative expression. We will layer textures and materials to build depth, mixing paint and different surfaces to create three-dimensional parts that stand out from the canvas. We will begin our art action-packed day by creating work inspired by the black and white paintings of Willem de Kooning, the work of Jean (Hans) Arp, and create a project “according to the laws of chance.” Specialized personal instruction in a lovely, creative environment.

Focus will be on creating interesting compositions using form, space, value, line, and texture. Personal expression will flourish in this informative, creative class! Demos and personal attention are given during the day.
