Dying Well in Christ: The Conversation Continues

Dying Well in Christ: The Conversation Continues is a conference for anyone who finds themselves walking in the valley of the shadow of death—whether for themselves or alongside someone they love. Laity, clergy, deaconesses, medical professionals, and all who care for or serve those approaching the end of life are welcome. Building on the conversation begun at the first Dying Well Conference in the summer of 2025, we will continue the discussion around the theological, pastoral, ethical, and practical dimensions of dying and caring for the dying and their loved ones.
Our speakers come from a variety of fields and from across the globe, including theology, pastoral care, hospice, ethics, and the funeral industry, and will tackle a wide range of questions about death, dying, grief, and how the Church can care well for people and their loved ones at life's end.
Along with several keynote addresses and panel discussions, there will be numerous breakout sessions offering opportunities to dig deeper into topics that matter to you. We will also share in a rich feast of Lutheran worship, including a funeral service, keeping us grounded in the comfort and promises of Christ.
There will be plenty of time for fellowship, conversation, and connecting with others, along with opportunities to explore and purchase books and other helpful resources.
