We're making our own homespun flag to celebrate America 250, and it is finally time to dye our stripes! We'll be using a mordant bath made of tin oxide and cream of tartar with cochineal to make a simple scarlet dye. If you'd like to see our methods in action, stop by the Graue House between 10am - 1pm. Talks about the process and materials used will occur every 45 minutes.
