WEATHERELL is the solo-moniker and live project of Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Sean Hackl. Combining elements of shoegaze, grunge, and electronica, Weatherell creates a maximalist vision straight out of the 90s and early 2000s. The name of the project is a simultaneous homage to the Toronto street Sean grew up on in the City's west end, and Andrew Weatherall, the famous producer of Primal Scream. Lonely Soul is Weatherell's debut album.
OLEXA is the goth, post-punk solo project of Guelph-based musician, Olexa Brisson. She uses this project to dive deeper into her identity as an Indigenous queer woman, expressing darker themes of trauma, grief, isolation, and social commentary through an 80s inspired, gothic sound. Her debut EP ‘close to you’ was released in May 2025, and is available on all streaming platforms.
WEDDING - Through his first 3 projects under the moniker Wedding - Time Is Good (2024), 7 songs for tree climbing (2025), and You Will Never Be Alone (2026) - Walt Mudie has explored an array of stylistic palettes, existing as much in the realm of twee bedroom pop as it does in the world of jittery, glacial electronics. Wedding is epitomized by juxtaposition, sandwiching glimpses of unfiltered studio experimentation between sticky pop hooks. Since Mudie's relocation from British Columbia to Toronto in 2021, Wedding has performed frequently across Canada. Wedding's live performances are engineered to maximize unpredictability, through frequent passionate improvisations within the framework of calculated pop structure.
