About this Event
Welcome to the future of banking! We are excited to invite you to an exclusive and thought-provoking workshop on “Climate Change and Banking Regulation and Supervision”, hosted by the Banking Research Group at the University of Bristol Business School. Mark your calendars for October 24th, 2024, as we gather at the University of Bristol for a day of ground-breaking insights and collaborative exploration.
At "Durham-Bristol Banking Policy Forum" we are assembling a diverse and distinguished group of academics, practitioners, and policymakers to delve into the dynamic landscape of the banking industry. The workshop will feature two engaging sessions that bridge the gap between cutting-edge academic research and real-world banking practices.
In our Policy Research Papers Sessions, world-renowned researchers will share their latest studies on crucial topics such as the impact of climate change and policies on bank lending, firm financing, and investment. Be prepared for stimulating discussions and thought-provoking debates that will shape the future of banking.
The Insights and Initiatives Session and the Policy-Industry Panel Discussion will bring forth influential voices from Citi, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve System, the Financial Conduct Authority, the International Banking Research Network, Liechtensteinische Landesbank, and Tandem Bank who will share their insights and experiences in navigating the challenges and opportunities in the industry. Engage in open discussions, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from those at the forefront of shaping banking policy.
Chatham House rules apply at this forum to promote candid discussions on climate finance.
