Duo Simiente, formed by María Vallejo (flute) and Noe Garcia (guitar) in 2021, originated from a shared passion for bringing a diverse repertoire for flute and guitar, with a focus on Latin American music, to wider audiences. As performers, they have collectively played in Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, and China. The name 'Simiente,' meaning seed or the origin of something new in Spanish, embodies the duo's vision to cultivate awareness, representation, and appreciation of Latin American music.
