Overview
• You’ll be introduced to 3 forms, share insights on being a giving scene partner, coach to your skill set and set your duo up for success.
• Perform at 7pm that night!
• The intensive workshop is 4.5 hours long and will prepare duos for the stage.
• You’ll learn how to support and play with only one partner.
• You’ll discover how to balance multiple characters.
• Sign up for one intensive to sign up for both dates and double your duo class time.

You can even sign up for a private coaching session as a follow-up to this duo intensive. Plus, duos will be featured during the Dramatic Improv Shows beginning in December. More opportunities to perform.
Who Should Join
Perfect for improvisers with some performance or classroom experience who have someone they’d like to explore the stage with as a twosome.
Prerequisites:
At least one acting or improv class completed
Willingness to take risks, explore emotions, and be vulnerable
Understanding that scenes may involve sensitive topics

Location
You’ll find us on South Blvd. at the business park with the giant 4200 sign and arrow. Pull into the park and head to the back building on the right side. We’re the corner unit with a green awning and the CATCh sign on the door. Nearby businesses include Kung Fu Tea, Tony’s Pizza, and Kebab2Go.
Parking is available anywhere you find a spot. Late? Ring the doorbell to the right of the front door if it is locked.
About Karla:
Karla Dingle, a lifelong theater artist with a B.A. in Theater from the University of Georgia, has been performing and teaching improv since 2009. Based in Charlotte, NC, she is Education Director at Queen City Comedy, Improv Director at a local studio, and performs with multiple ensembles including Now Are the Foxes. Karla has taught students across six continents, led workshops at international festivals, and was a 2023 Theater IDA Artist-in-Residence in Zurich. In 2025, she joined The Improv Boost’s Sudden Impact program as an international instructor. Her students have booked work with Apple TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more.
