Stepping into the kink scene for the first time can feel a bit like arriving in a new city without a map. What’s a munch? How do dungeon parties work? Where do people go to learn, socialize, and build community? This welcoming, beginner-friendly class is designed to help you find your footing with clarity and confidence.
Led by kink educator Goddess Mak, this session offers a guided introduction to the many spaces, events, and opportunities within Denver’s kink community. Whether you’re curious, nervous, or simply looking to expand your social world, you’ll gain the context you need to navigate with ease.
We’ll explore the different types of gatherings you’ll encounter in the scene, including casual social meetups (munches), educational workshops, dungeon events, play parties, and community organizations. Along the way, we’ll discuss etiquette, consent culture, dress codes, event expectations, and how to build authentic connections while respecting boundaries—your own and others’.
Most importantly, you’ll learn how to identify the spaces that best align with your interests, experience level, and comfort zone. Kink is diverse, and Denver offers a wide range of communities for exploration. This class will help you understand where to start and how to move through the scene with confidence and care.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical knowledge, helpful resources, and a clearer sense of how to take your next steps into community—on your own terms.

About the Instructor
Goddess Mak is a kink educator, dominatrix, and proud Black queer woman from Chicago. Her journey into kink began 15 years ago after a formative experience in a human sexuality seminar sparked a lasting curiosity that evolved into her passion: Femme Domme work.
She is dedicated to empowering women and creating spaces for learning, growth, and healing. Mak currently teaches restraint techniques at Sexploratorium kink tastings, leads a monthly women’s empowerment circle, and educates kinksters on dominatrix skills and beyond.
