Dumpster Day

"Dumpster Day" is a community waste collection and recycling event coming to Glenhaven Park parking lot (corner of NE 82nd Ave and Siskiyou St) in NE Portland, OR. This event will accept a variety of items, including many bulky household items, furniture, mattresses and box springs. It will also feature a "pop-up FREE store” of reusable items donated to the event in order to reduce waste and benefit our communities. Donated items can include clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, books and games, household and kitchen items, furniture, children’s items, tools, instruments, and more!

We welcome volunteers between the hours of 8:30-3:30 for any amount of time! Many roles are available. Volunteers will be provided snacks, drinks, and subway sandwiches and chips for lunch. Volunteers can bring a load to the dumpster fee-free! Volunteers can earn community service hours if desired. Please contact Ronda (below) if interested.

Donations encouraged, but not required. This is an important fundraiser for the neighborhood. All proceeds are reinvested back into the Roseway and Madison South neighborhood communities. People from neighborhoods are invited to attend!
