DULF Fundraiser Gig @ Little Fernwood
Downsided Distro presents: A fundraiser gig for DULF’s legal defense
This past November, the founders of @dulfbc were found guilty of drug trafficking. Their oh-so-horrible crime was that they started a compassion club in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside where they provided safe, tested drugs to club members, allowing them not to have to obtain them through the toxic black market supply. Despite this project having proven positive health outcomes for those accessing it and serving as a concrete example of how we can end this opioid crisis that has now been a “public health emergency” for over a decade and has claimed the lives of far, far too many of our friends and loved ones, they are having the book thrown at them and potentially facing up to life in prison, for doing what even our province’s spineless premier described as “essential life-saving work”. They return to court in July to launch a constitutional challenge that could potentially reshape Canada’s drug laws and strike a blow against the endless, inhumane “war on drugs” this country has perpetuated for far too long. In solidarity with DULF, we bring you this fundraiser gig in hopes of doing our part to help bring about positive change in this increasingly bleak world.

$20 suggested donation, no one turned away for lack of funds
