What happens when two art forms interpret similar subjects through entirely different types of materials? Discover these different perspectives in DUET, a unique conversation between the Mosaic Association of Australia and New Zealand (MAANZ) and the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA)-Oceania-Sturt Pea Pod.
Bringing together 48 talented artists, this exhibition pairs mosaicists and art quilters, to explore shared topics in their own distinctive ways. One vision is expressed in enduring fragments; another in soft layers of fabric and stitch, revealing a fascinating exhibit of surprising contrasts, unexpected connections and the beautiful possibilities that emerge, when simple fragments become extraordinary art.
