"Due Note" is an acoustic duo formed by Alessandro Romeo and Mari Bjelland, both musicians active in the Bergen music scene.
Alessandro, an Italian guitarist, music teacher and composer, comes from Turin, where he has performed in art music and jazz concerts and recorded records with several local bands.
Mari, a singer and composer, grew up in Kvinnherad and just recently moved to Bergen to start her studies. In her spare time performs in several local theatres and sings in classical choirs.
The duo revisits covers of different genres (singer-songwriter, pop and jazz) in an acoustic style, taking the songs to their essence, emphasising the timbre of the voice mixed with the sound of the guitar.
The duo ranges from singer-songwriters such as Eva Cassidy and Bon Iver to jazz standards with songs by Stevie Wonder and Julie London.
