Edvard Grieg had a remarkable gift for melodies, none more memorable that the ones he created for Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt. Famed for his performance at the royal wedding in 2018, cellist @[100044357502950:2048:Sheku Kanneh-Mason] explores the rich, dark textures of Edward Elgar’s profound concerto, and @[100044215610316:2048:Gustavo Dudamel] completes the evening with that British composer’s imposing Enigma Variations.
