Hi everyone
As you can see, I have changed the poster of Dubrek Free Jam. Just a quick explanation.
I have decided to give a new direction to the jam.
Jamming with other musicians should be a place where you have fun, but also a place where you can learn a lot of different new ways of playing and sharing music with other musicians.
It means that if you never jammed before or if you need to increase your confidence in playing in front of other people, you should feel comfortable enough to join a jam.
This is why I have created the jam originally, I want everyone to feel comfortable to come and play.
Playing 2 or 3 notes in a song is already an achievement!
A lot of you didn't turn up to the previous session because I quote: "I don't have the skills to improvise"
Well... this is exactly why you should come to Dubrek Free Jam!
We are not here to pull up muscles or show our skills, we are here to have fun.
That's why I have now decided to have a house band composed of professional musicians. All of us are here to play and not show our skills.
So if you have never been to a jam, or you are a fresh brand new player be confident that we will offer support and we will help you to feel confident!
One last thing, this Jam is not made for a particular style of music, it can be jazzy, it can be indie, it can be pop, it can be classical,... It can also be a new style that we create together.
So don't hesitate to come to the next jam!
A year ago I decided to create this jam for everyone, not just advanced musicians!
Whatever if you want to sing your new song that you have just composed, try a new riff that you just found out a couple of days before the Jam,... You are welcome to join us!
So book your evening on Monday the 27th of May from 7pm at Dubrek studio.
It is free entry, if you come, you can play but you don't have to, what do you have to lose?
