DFC get-together, 8:30pm Sandymount Stand, Friday 21st of June.This event is to mark the longest day of the year - the Summer Solstice.
Important - this is a space for fire performers to practice their art and burn safely in the comfort of others. Bonfires and pagan rituals will not be permitted at this event, as this may bring unwanted attention from the Gardaí and jeopardize future events.
Admins can't always attend these events, so please communicate with each other via this event page or Facebook group if you are attending. ?
***Bring your own fire props as well as dipping buckets, EXTINGUISHES and FUEL! these will not be provided.***
Please leave the beach exactly as we found it - spotless ?
Normal props and LED props are also more than welcome!
This event is WEATHER DEPENDANT so keep an eye on the event for announcements and possible cancellations ?
Burners, photographers, dancers, musicians and spectators are all more than welcome to come down. Please take note though, this is not a party or a show, just a casual get together.
We'll be on Sandymount strand from about 19:00 but feel free to arrive or leave at anytime. Put "Sandymount Strand Car Park 1" into google maps, or grab the C1, C2, 1, 47, 18 or the DART to Sandymount and look for the monument by the beach. There are some benches that we usually gather at there.

Anything involving fire is dangerous, no matter how comfortable you are or how much you practice. If you join us in our meetings, you are accepting that you may get hurt. Please exercise caution and take all safety precautions required. Some safety equipment may be provided but please also bring your own.
