Dublin Coast DEDP Community Workshop

Fáilte Ireland has commenced work on a Dublin Coast Destination & Experience Development Plan (DEDP), which will be developed in close collaboration with local authorities, key agencies, tourism businesses, and coastal communities. This will be a five-year plan to sustainably grow the economic value of tourism along Dublin’s coast. The plan will set out a shared vision, key priorities, and a roadmap of actions to be delivered over its lifetime.

We are hosting community workshops to explore local perspectives and contribute to a shared vision for the Dublin coastline. These workshops are open to residents, community groups, organisations, and businesses based on – or connected to – Dublin’s coast. They will be interactive sessions and will focus on moving from where we are today, to where we want to be next, in terms of tourism along the Dublin coast.

In total, four public sessions are taking place along the Dublin coast. Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Share what you love most about your place and what makes the Dublin coast distinctive
• Reflect on the current role of tourism – what it contributes and what may need to evolve
• Identify priorities and ideas that could strengthen the coast as a tourism destination
• Contribute to a collective vision for Dublin Coast 2036

Insights gathered through these workshops will help inform the vision, objectives, priorities and project pipeline within the Dublin Coast DEDP. These workshops are commissioned by Fáilte Ireland and facilitated by our partners, Group NAO and The Place Bureau.
