About this Event
Drypoint etching is a simple intaglio print technique in which you scratch your design onto a surface and then print it onto dampened paper using a press. We will make designs on clear plastic and on recycled cartons. We print with black and coloured inks and also add colour with tissue paper, a technique called chine collé.
Suitable for all levels including artists and complete beginners. No experience necessary.
All materials provided but students are encouraged to bring their own images to work from, such as drawings or photographs. There will also be images and objects to inspire you in the studio.
Please wear old clothes as printing can be messy.
