Hands-on printmaking classes in the Book Arts studio!In this drypoint printmaking class, participants will learn the intaglio drypoint process, create a hand-drawn plate, and take home a small edition of custom prints. We will be operating an etching press in the Book Arts Studio to pull our own original intaglio prints. This is an incredibly accessible and intuitive technique that artists of absolutely any experience can partake in. In the class, we will have time to sketch an idea, carve a small plate utilizing an etching needle, and ink it up for printing. Come with an idea/references to print, or be inspired in the Studio!
