About this Event
Join us for a class on dry farming taught by Sally Campbell from the Mult. Co. Master Gardener Asso. in collaboration and in support of the Oregon State University Extension Master Gardener™️ Program. This talk is focused on how urban gardeners can successfully grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers in their backyards without summer water. Learn what dry farming is, its benefits and drawbacks, what makes a suitable dry farming area in your yard, what types of crops do well, and how to be successful with dry farming.
Date: Saturday, February 28th
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Portland Nursery on Stark (5050 SE Stark)
***All classes will be held in our greenhouse G1, which is located right across the courtyard from the main store. It is a large greenhouse, so it functions as a covered outdoor area. We will have patio heaters going if it's cold out but please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***
