In Drumspiration! Drumlady Kristen Arant with assistance from members of the Bele Bele Rhythm Collective welcome all souls to engage in skill building, self expression and connection through rhythm making. Hone your skills on the djembe, dununs and other instruments, learn new patterns and rhythms from West Africa, and sing along with songs from the Akan and Mandingue people of West Africa. During and after teaching, Kristen will facilitate a rhythm-based music jam where each individual voice feels empowered to add strength and love to the whole circle. Please bring a drum, and possibly an extra instrument (flute, guitar, didgeridoo, xylophone, handpan etc) for the jam, if you wish.
