Drumming with Afrocats

Take part in a fun and interactive drumming session with Afrocats musician Godfrey Pambalipe as part of our Bee Curious programme at the Universally Manchester Festival.

Everyone is welcome to drum along to the exciting beats of the Djembe - a hand drum originating from West Africa, now used all over Africa. It’s a great way to explore rhythm, sound, and music together.

Godfrey uses the Djembe as a tool for learning about African music and culture as children learn to play with Djembe using their hands to explore different sounds and rhythms.

Expect a lively, inclusive session full of rhythm and creativity. No experience needed -just bring your enthusiasm and have a go!
