Nicolas is a percussionist, born in Quito- Ecuador, always in search of reviving forgotten sounds, cultures and instruments. From an early age he was involved in social work, interested in ancestral cultures and their medicine, nature and their energies. When he arrived in Europe in 2017, he began a process of transformation and awareness that has brought him to the present moment. He delves into the path of personal growth, spirituality, meditation and the healing power of his drums and medicinal plants. He is today an international reference as a percussionist for the Danish/German/Norwegian Ancestral group Heilung (Healing in German).
Nicolas is a renowned drummer and percussionist and is currently the drummer of the ancestral musical group Heilung. He was born and raised in the Andean mountains in Quito, Ecuador. Since 2018 he has been living in Denmark.
Nicolas has a rich blend of South American and European traditions and techniques. He found inspiration from the traditional Andean drums of South America as well as from shamanic drums from Scandinavia.
Arriving in Europe allowed him to dive in much greater depth into a process of transformation, growth, and awareness that has brought him to the present moment. Delving into the path of personal growth, the search and respect for his roots, his past, ancestral territories, spirituality, meditation and the healing power of the drums and medicinal plants. That was the moment that ARPI was born where he has different methods, called KUTRAL TINYA deep inner meditation with plant medicine , SURUNA deep connection with your drums and your inner rhythm, ARPI Drum birth and MUSHUK 1:1 sessions where he uses millennial ceramic whistles , the power of words and drums to support you to find your own path in this 3D world with balance and harmony. .
His mission has been taking shape and with this he seals a commitment to continue learning, sharing and be an apprentice of life.

Nicolas wants to share with you some of the tools that worked for him all these years. Tous, (Hello in Arapaho). Uh Zahnt Seeka Davae(Hello, good day in Shoshone)
My name is Rhyia JoyHeart. I was born into the Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone & Flathead Nations. My family is from the Wind River Indian Reservation in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. I am the great granddaughter of James “Louie” and Eva Enos. I am the 7th grandchild of Angelo and Sharon (Enos) Ortegon. I am the daughter of Ruby Ortegon Thayer and Russell Thayer Dale Jr. I am a sister, auntie and friend. I currently reside in Arvada, Colorado. I am the co-founder and Director of Indigenous Corporation 5280 (IndigeCorp5280). We are a cultural awareness dance group that brings Indigenous representation into every community through dance exhibitions, origin storytelling and cultural awareness education. I believe it is our duty to use our privilege as modern day people to keep our cultural traditions alive for food security and resilience in the face of environmental challenges. I have been a part of the Denver Native community all my life. I have advocated for social justice, rights and food sovereignty among Native American tribal communities. Non profits, advocating and community work have become a part of my passion. The start of my connection to our community began with my love and passion for powwow dancing. Indigenous peoples carry the past, present, and future with us. Traditional dancing gives us the strength to persevere and display our resilience. I am honoured to share space with you .
Hohou Wooweewoo, Thank you

Rune workshop
Runes are an ancient Nordic writing system that have been used by peoples across Europe to communicate with spirit. They were invented by Germanic-speaking peoples in southern Scandinavia in the first century CE, but in the 2,000 year-period that they have existed, they have been used across most of Europe, from Greenland in the north to Greece in the south. Most historical runic inscriptions are not magical, but there are some that are. About 250 runic inscriptions from the period c. 0 CE to 1400 have clear magical intentions behind them, and together with the rune poems that were written down between c. 800 CE and 1600, we can use them to understand the magico-religious universe of the runes.
This rune workshop is split into two sections over two days. On day 1, we will have a 1-hour session with an introduction to the runes, their history, and the most important historical texts that provide clues to how we can do rune magic. We will learn about the magico-religious universe of the runes and how it has changed over time.
On the second day, we will have a 2-hour session about bind-runes, the runic universe, and how we can use runes to communicate with spirit. We will work with the runes as individual signs in the magico-religious universe, how they communicate deep ecological and human knowledge, and how we can bring that ancient knowledge back to life through drumming with runes.
