Drumming Bird Live at The Woodshop

Drumming Bird is the long-running project of singer-songwriter Austin Sawyer, whose music blends the youthful energy of indie rock with the introspective storytelling of Americana. Over the past decade, Sawyer has built a growing national following through powerful live performances, placements on shows like Shameless, and a reputation as one of the most authentic emerging voices in modern roots music. His 2022 release American Spirits earned songwriting honors from Unsigned Only and American Songwriter, while singles like “Electric Cowboy” landed on major Spotify editorial playlists. Drumming Bird’s latest album, Roadkill Poetry, was produced by Oscar-nominated songwriter Mike Viola and features members of Dawes, Fiona Apple’s band, and Iron & Wine’s circle, continuing Sawyer’s rise as a compelling force in indie Americana.
