About this Event
Welcoming the wisdom of this workshop back for the second time. A potent day in community with the teachings of drum making, weaving intentions, and ceremony through the making of your own 14" Elk hide drum.
We are honored to welcome Frazer ‘Ko Le Sa Luk’ Smith Tsartlip Nation Elder to share his wisdom and teachings with us. He will be sharing his practices of talking circles, smudging, and guidance.
Frazer is a medicine man, fire keeper, knowledge keeper, and a speaker of the Hul’q’umi’num language, passed down from his Elders. He guides drum and rattle-making workshops, plant walks, ceremonies, talking circles, and works with folks in addiction. He has impacted the lives of many through his years as an activist, policy changer, mentor, helper, teacher, and adopted grandpa.
Frazer will be accompanied by his helper Julie, who learns and supports Frazer in workshops, sweat lodges, and ceremonies. She integrates her experience and teachings with Frazer through her own healing arts practice.
