📜 It is said that the frame drum is the oldest and most cross-cultural instrument. The drumbeat is the Heartbeat of Mother Earth - a sacred, ancient healing tool that invokes the heart and speaks a universal language. The drum shows up in your life when it’s time for transformation, birthing, honoring, and respecting its history is such a sacred, personal, and profound experience. It is bringing a new, living spirit into the world, and this is the time!
❤️🪘❤️ What does it mean to birth a drum? It is not just adding yet another instrument to the collection, but creating a vivid and visceral connection with sound as medicine, with healing as a journey and with nature as ally and inspiration.

❤️🪘❤️ When you birth a drum with us, it is your retreat day to take a break from the chaos that life can bring. We journey into sacred healing space, rebirth the spirit of the animal, the tree spirit, and sing your soul song into your hide, infusing him/her with your heart intentions - a reclamation of your birthright, a time to move forward, and create new beginnings. Intention is an intregal piece of our experience - and sharing a lifestyle. We strike a fire, gather in sacred circle, go on a journey with the drum, your animal spirit, and your personal intentions, share in, and honor the history of our lake, make cedar tea, create, remember, share an earthy meal, and gather back in sacred rhythm circle together. We sit in reverence, in the history of the healing frame drum, honor global drum traditions & rhythms, reclaim voices in the drum, and so much more. You will create the holes in your hide for lacing with Jon’s handmade awls, the ancient way, with creative intention, respect and reverence. Roots, ritual, reverence, and remembering - an integral part of the creation, the birthing process.

🪘You will create your choice of a 15-16 inch deer or elk drum, and create a unique custom drum mallet.
