An awesome new workshop for those who want to produce or recover their own lampshades. We will be starting basic, but the principles can be applied to other shapes where desired. It will run from 10.00 until 1.00pm. It will be a busy time, so come fuelled and ready to go.This workshop will allow you to make ONE drum Lampshade, the kit is provided on the day.
Based on your options below, you will need to bring a quantity of fabric for the lampshade you wish to make. Please pay attention to the running direction of your fabric if you wish for the design to be the right way up. The weight of the fabric should be quilting fabric to light furnishing weight, I would look for something stable that doesn't not fray madly on the cut edge.
This depends on the size chosen and the shape.
Drum shade 40cm - 50cm Height x 135cm Width
Drum shade 30cm - 50cm Height x 100cm Width
Drum shade 20cm - 50cm Height x 100cm Width
