The healing power of the drum has been shared by many cultures all over the world for thousands of years. The sacred drum provides a simple and effective way to induce trance like states.
When the drum is played at an even tempo, many people can successfully journey, even on their very first attempt. Transported by the driving heartbeat of the drum, the traveler journeys to the inner planes of consciousness.
Journeying is a way of communicating with your spirit self to retrieve information and healing. The spirit self is in constant communication with all aspects of your environment, seen and unseen. You need only to journey within and find the answers you seek.
Join Calvin for unique journey of meditation and deep healing as you are taken to altered states of consciousness to retrieve answers or guidance from the universal quantum field.
Calvin will help you reach a very relaxed state through the playing of his flute and vocal toning before entering the drum journey portion of the session. During this part of the session Calvin will be guiding you with his voice along with the hypnotic playing of the drum. It is during this time you will travel to the inner plane of the subconscious to release stress, emotional trauma, negative feelings, and patterns that no longer serve you. All you have to do is lie down and allow your brain and body to enjoy a healing theta state, where miraculous transformation is possible.
You should enter each journey with an intention, a question or an objective in mind from the start. Journeying is typically used for gaining spiritual insights, spiritual healing, empowerment, gathering of information, wisdom and knowledge. Journeying may also be undertaken for personal healing, to meet one’s power animal or spirit guide, or for any number of other reasons. There is no right or wrong way to journey.
Within the journey you are experiencing an altered state of consciousness, that expands your awareness to many dimensions. From this state, we learn different ways of ‘seeing’ things, like the patterns in our lives, the habits, the ways of relating and within relationships. We learn to understand things in a whole new way, interpreting them to find a greater meaning for ourselves finding more passion, purpose, and authenticity.
The drum journey is particularly useful for anyone facing change, looking for direction or insight, or seeking skills and ways to support themselves or others. After the journey, you must then interpret the meaning of your trance experience. It is only then you can understand the messages that you have received and how they can help you in your day to day journey.
