There are only 8 places for this day ! Making your own sacred drum really is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself! Once you have made your medicine drum, and completed the journeys to connect to all aspects of it, your heart will always be connected to the heart of your drum offering you a whole lifetime of wonderful journeys together , you will be guided in the powerful and humbling process of birthing your very own shamanic medicine drum and drum stick. Not only will you create and connect to the Spirit of your drum , you’ll also learn to work with your Drum.
This day will include a powerful breath journey to help set intentions for the rest of the day.
During the workshop you will be using animal bi-products in the way of raw hide and leather to make this drum.
The process takes you through using pre soaked raw hide and stretching it over a pre-made wooden drum ring, making a handle and weaving on the back of the drum, which tensions the raw hide and makes your shamanic drum look and sound great.
We will also make a drum stick to go with your Drum, and provide advice on how to take care of your Drum throughout its life.
After we have made the drum and stick, there may be time to finish off decorating your drum and drum Stick.
The drum ring size will be approximately 16 inch in diameter, a choice of wood is available, and there are choices for the drum skin too.
Drums are universal; there is not a country in the world, or tribe of people on record anywhere that does not make drums of some type. These drums are usually regarded as among the most precious elements of the group’s culture. Some people in particular are inclined to surround their drums with deep significance as a spiritual or healing tool. The shamanic drum, also known as the shaman’s horse is a medicine tool used for healing, journeying and bringing fun and rhythm into your life

Face to face teaching, tools & equipment, a bag of your choice to keep your drum safe, light refreshments.
Please bring any special items you would like to attach to your drum while making it (feathers, beads, charms, hair braids,crystals etc) You will need to bring your own packed lunch and a stick that you feel drawn to .
You do not need to have any prior experience. All you need is an open heart and mind and the desire to do something amazing for yourself. You will go home at the end of the day with your unique shamanic drum and player held safely in its new bag, ready for your journey together.

Payment in full or deposit £88.88 to secure a place, to be paid by 13th July 2024 to allow for ordering materials.
£222 full price after 13th July
Remaining balance to be paid 2 weeks before the day 10th august.

A non refundable deposit of £88.80 is required to book a place this will pay for materials that are brought in just for you.
