Drug User Health- Session 1: Then & Now
About this Event
The Knoxville-Knox County Office of Housing Stability invites you to the first session of our Drug User Health educational series.
This introductory session explores the historical context and evolution of how we understand, support, and care for individuals who use drugs. Participants will learn how approaches to drug user health have shifted over time, including the movement toward evidence-based, person-centered strategies that prioritize health, safety, and dignity.
This session will feature local overdose prevention educators and service providers who will share their expertise, experiences, and perspectives on how drug user health has changed over time and what these changes mean for our community today.
