(DRRI)Disabilities Rights Rhode Island's Film Premier

Earlier this year, DRRI began working on a short documentary for Disability Rights RI about Supportive Decision Making. As the parent of a child with moderate-severe autism, this is a mission I fully support - I hope to connect with like minds who deal with similar issues as our minions get older, age out of highschool, and enter Self-Direction and beyond.
It's about seeing your child as an adult and plans that parents like us must get in place for a time when we will no longer be here. It's a deeply emotional and sensitive topic that is hard to process for most of us, but one that must be discussed and worked through. The company Breaking Branches Pictures and Brian Heil have been working on this throughout the summer and will continue to complete it throughout the fall. If this is important to you in your life and/or work, mark your calendars and join us at Rhode Island College on October 22. 💝🤗🪶💎
